Bandera Historical Commision Meeting: Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 2:00 pm
at the Bandera County Library
Bandera County was presented a Distinguished Service Award on April 21, 2006 by the Texas Historical Commission. Lauren Langford attended the opening session of the annual conference and accepted the award for the county.
Dan Wise (email@example.com) is the new chairman in 2005 of the Bandera County Historical Commission. A big round of applause to Barbara Merrell for her service.

Events - 2004
Oct 5, 2004, Kronkosky Library, Bandera, 7pm: Dr. Thomas Hester, an archeologist, will speak about archeological studies in the canyon lands of southwest Texas.
Oct 19, 2004: Bandera City Plaza Park,10:30 am: Billy Price of West Columbia, TX has donated a seedling from an acorn of the oak tree located on Mr. Price's property and the place where Stephen F. Austin died. School children will help plant the tree and Sam Houston IV will speak.
Bandera students will be participating in the Texas Parks and Wildlife horned lizard contest.
Cindy Harrington has put together a display of historic Bandera photos in the library in an effort to create an awareness of our need to preserve old photos.
